History on Tap
Venue or organization:
Please join the Friends of the Aiken County Historical Museum for its first “History on Tap” of the 2017 Summer Season! Last year’s presentations were very popular so we are hosting three sessions again this summer.
The first event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 6:30 P.M. at Mellow Mushroom in the Alley. Tickets are $10 per person and include a limited pizza buffet. Sweet tea will be provided, but there will also be a cash bar for those preferring a beverage “on tap.”
Our first presenters are from Redcliffe Plantation and their evening’s lecture is described as follows:
Lives & Letters of Redcliffe Plantation
Broken hearts, secret desires, drinking habits, famous connections – all these and more are illuminated in the letters of the Hammonds of Redcliffe. Join Park Manager Joy Raintree and Park Interpreter Elizabeth Laney as they share their favorite letters from the collection.
Tickets will be available at the Aiken County Historical Museum on Newberry Street. Only 80 tickets will be available, so get yours soon!!
